The Pixel Punk Diaries |
God is Faithful
This summer has been insanely busy for all of us on the Life Teen Staff. We're taking trains, planes, and automobiles to get to conferences and camps throughout the country.
Although traveling can sometimes be exciting, it always wears me out. It's hard to get up before the sun rises, drive through traffic, and then wait in 17 lines before you can get on an airplane. After watching the bad in-flight movie and eating a bag of stale peanuts, I begin to wonder why I ever left my house in the first place.
My flight back home from an event is always different. Although I'm exhausted, I'm so blown away by the power of God. I know you can hear those churchy words sometimes and want to ignore them, but the "power of God" is a very real thing. After a week at summer camp at Covecrest, I saw God take so many people's lives and flip them upside down. I mean, they came to camp as one person and left as someone entirely new. That's something I don't see through most of the year running this website from behind a computer.
It's easier to face challenges and hardships when you know you're not in it alone. I can't believe that I get to experience something so life-changing with so many young people. So I want to thank all of you that I met this summer for what you for the hope and energy you shared with me. I came back from my big trip across the country with a renewed hope for what we do as a ministry.
I want you all to remember that God is faithful. He sticks by your side. It's easier to face challenges and hardships when you know you're not in it alone. This year at school isn't going to work out perfectly just because you went to a Life Teen Camp or a Steubenville Conference. Things will be tough, but never forget that God is there to do it all with you. Don't ever forget!
