Mass Readings for
Monday, February 08, 2010
First: 1 Kgs 8:1-7, 9-13
Psalm: Ps 132:6-7, 8-10
Second:
Gospel: Mk 6:53-56

Random Fact:
Ghosts appear in 4 Shakespearian plays; Julius Caesar, Richard III, Hamlet and Macbeth.

Random Act:
Pray it up.

Reflect:
God is here waiting for you. Always has been, always will be. Do you recognize him? Many of us don't realize it, but he is by our side waiting to heal us, guide us, love us. It really comes down to faith. Just last week the Gospel talked about Jesus not being able to heal hardly anybody there because of THEIR LACK OF FAITH. Yet, in today's Gospel from Mark 6, we hear of how anyone that even touched his cloak were HEALED. And that is because of their faith. They had faith that even if they just touched his cloak, they could experience the healing touch of God. So how about you? Do you have the faith that Jesus will heal you even if you just touch the tassel of his cloak?

Quote of the Day:
"The man who is swimming against the stream knows the strength of it." - Woodrow Wilson

Saint of the Day:
Monday of the Fifth Week of Ordinary Time.

A pro-life group in Georgia is getting attacked for their new campaign against abortion. Why? Because they're highlighting the racial bias of Planned Parenthood.
